You can have problems with cancer that has spread to the bone even after the original cancer is gone

When a cancer is cured, patients might think that all problems associated with their cancer disappear. This may be true with some cancers, but not when cancer has spread from the primary location to the bone. When cancer spreads to the bone, it can create troubles such as bone deterioration or even holes in the bone. This can lead to fractures, which can have long-lasting consequences. This is why doctors feel it is important to use therapies to rebuild bone and halt bone deterioration
